Jade's skirt

A Simple little skirt from the fabric I won in Retromummy's giveaway. The design runs along the length of the fabric, so I simply measured in from the edge (the skirt length plus hem and casing) and cut. I joined the short edges with a french seam as I was too lazy to change the thread colour on the overlocker. I then stitched the casing for the elastic, inserted the elastic and stitched the hem. That's it Done!

My new bag

Ever since seeing Aby Garvey's post about her organised handbag - I had wanted one of my own. I finally raided my money box and had enough to order one from Licorice Mint (the Australian stockist), it arrived within days and I have been busy sorting my bag! Oh and it smells good too LOL!

Happy Anniversary

Today David and I have been together for 10 years, and yesterday was our 4th wedding anniversary.

We celebrated by going out to dinner at Paladarr Thai Issan in Alphington

today...

i had a manual driving lesson
set up my mushroom growing box
planted snowpea sprout seads
made cauliflower soup
and now has lamb roast in the oven

an old quilt

This is my lightning quilt. i made this one probably around 15 years ago. You can really see how badly I matched the seams and I didn't even quilt it!
