A Simple little skirt from the fabric I won in Retromummy's giveaway. The design runs along the length of the fabric, so I simply measured in from the edge (the skirt length plus hem and casing) and cut. I joined the short edges with a french seam as I was too lazy to change the thread colour on the overlocker. I then stitched the casing for the elastic, inserted the elastic and stitched the hem. That's it Done!
I was lucky enough to win this and today my niece came to visit and she has decided it would make a great skirt for her too! So i've promised to make her one just like retro mummy's
And speaking of blog winners I was lucky enough to win a $20 voucher to sew mama sew so i've spent my voucher and have some new fabric sitting on my desk just waiting to for some creating so stay tuned.
Ever since seeing Aby Garvey's post about her organised handbag - I had wanted one of my own. I finally raided my money box and had enough to order one from Licorice Mint (the Australian stockist), it arrived within days and I have been busy sorting my bag! Oh and it smells good too LOL!
